Paradise Walker Hill, Paradise City
Cash Game Official Rules & House Policies

To ensure a fair, transparent, and enjoyable gaming environment, our poker room adheres to international poker standards (TDA & Standard Cash Game Rules). All players are required to comply with the rules outlined below.

1. Basic Compliance & Etiquette

  • Standard Etiquette

    • Compliance: All players must maintain a reasonable level of etiquette at all times. Depending on staff discretion, step-by-step penalties ranging from a verbal warning to a permanent ban may be applied.

  • Official Language: Only Korean and English are permitted while a hand is in progress.

  • Information Disclosure (One Player to a Hand)

    • Prohibiting the disclosure of live or folded cards, regardless of participation in the hand.

    • Prohibiting advice, criticism, or lectures to others before the action concludes.

    • Prohibiting pre-reading or predicting cards that have not been officially opened.

    • Prohibiting the discussion of hands/strategy with spectators and receiving outside advice or consultation.

  • Card Exposure & Mucked Cards

    • Prohibiting the act of showing one's cards to a player who has already folded before folding.

    • Upon detection, the dealer will keep the card out of the mucked zone, reveal it to the table (tabling) at the end of all hands, and impose a penalty upon repetition.

  • No Collusion: Since poker is an individual game, any detection of collusion, such as soft play or chip dumping, will result in immediate penalties.

  • Prohibited Acts & Bad Manners

    • Touching others' chips or cards, intentional delays, acting out of turn, or splashing chips into the pot.

    • Excessive chatting, heavy drinking, exaggerated gestures, and inappropriate attitudes.

    • Unnecessary physical contact and excessive gifting toward dealers.

  • Profanity & Slang: Abusive language, profanity, and derogatory remarks towards dealers, staff, or players are strictly prohibited. Repeated use of profanity, even if not directed at a specific person, is subject to penalties.

  • Manners & Hygiene: Maintain a neat demeanor. Staff may request correction or penalize if hygiene or health issues cause discomfort to others (e.g., removing shoes).

  • Players intentionally tearing or damaging cards may face a suspension/ban.

  • Phone Calls: No phone calls while seated, regardless of participation in the hand (players must leave the table to take a call).

  • Alcohol Service: The poker room reserves the right to refuse alcohol service at its discretion.

  • Disclaimer: The house is not responsible for personal asset losses (cash, chips, etc.) due to theft, loss, natural disasters, etc.

2. Participation, Buy-In, and Chip Management

  • Pre-registration: All players wishing to participate in cash games must complete K-Hold'em registration in advance.

  • Flexible Participation: Free betting is allowed within the rules, and players can quit the game at any time.

  • Away from Table (Default 10 mins, Meal 30 mins): If away for 10 minutes or more, chips will be picked up (Pickup) from the table and stored after staff verification. (Within 30 minutes for customers wanting a meal).

  • Chips and Blinds during Penalties/Absence: Lost chips or blinds of customers returning after a penalty or absence are not refunded and will be treated as a missed blind.

  • Waiting Registration

    • Seoul Walkerhill: You can register for the waiting list after visiting the poker room within 1 hour of sending your English name via KakaoTalk, Line, or WhatsApp.

    • Incheon Paradise: You can register for the waiting list via KakaoTalk, Line, WhatsApp, or WeChat when able to arrive at the poker room within 1 hour.

  • Waitlist Call: Must arrive at the venue within 10 minutes of being called; failure to arrive will result in cancellation and requires re-registration.

  • Buy-in: Buy-ins can be made at the poker room cashier in chips, checks, Korean Won (KRW), or KRW deposit receipts. Credit cards, US Dollars, Japanese Yen, etc., must be exchanged at the main casino cashier.

    • Checks must bear the official stamp of the respective venue, and check exchanges can be done at each venue's cashier.

  • Must be purchased within the minimum to maximum buy-in range for each blind level.

    • Forced move due to table balancing: Can participate with existing chips even if below the minimum buy-in amount.

    • Voluntary move: Must meet or exceed the minimum buy-in amount of the target table.

  • Table Stakes

    • Only chips and cash exposed on the table at the start of dealing are valid for bets.

    • Chips cannot be removed from the table until completely finishing the game and leaving (except for casino service payments).

    • Prohibiting passing/transferring chips to others (except for stud antes or 1 'lucky chip').

    • Playing with others' chips and arbitrary seat transfers without staff approval are prohibited.

    • Exchange chips being transported by a chip runner are recognized as valid chips with house approval and player notification.

    • Must declare the amount when purchasing chips; if cards are received and checked without a declaration, only the minimum buy-in amount for that game will be recognized.

3. Game Progression and Hand Ruling Rules

  • Ruling Criteria: Staff may prioritize common sense and context over technical formal rules for fairness and smooth progression.

  • Dispute Deadline:

    • General disputes: Raised immediately before shuffling the deck for the next hand.

    • Pot-related disputes: Can be requested before the shoe/pitch action (SA) of the next hand.

  • Hand Protection Responsibility:

    • Players must directly protect their cards using their hands, chips, card guards, etc.

    • Unattended cards may be folded by the dealer, and if mixed with mucked cards and 100% identification is impossible, no compensation can be received.

    • The same applies if cards were thrown away without realizing another player remained, or if cards were mucked due to a dealer error. (However, if the player only bet/raised without a call, the bet amount will be returned.)

  • Showdown Card Ruling (Cards Speak):

    • Showdown wins/losses are determined by the cards. Incorrectly declared verbal hand values or actions (e.g., "You win", "Fold") are not binding at showdown (except intentional deception, which is penalized).

    • Dealers must read hands directly and officially declare them at showdown; anyone, even non-participants in the hand, must immediately point out any errors in ruling or pot awarding.

    • Even if placed in the mucked zone without tabling, if cards are 100% identifiable, they may be tabled and recognized by staff decision (same if mucked due to a mistaken belief of winning).

  • Split Pots and Odd Chip Distribution:

    • Texas Hold'em & Omaha: Closest player clockwise from the button receives it.

    • 7 Card Stud: Highest ranking high card suit receives it (Spades>Hearts>Diamonds>Clubs\text{Spades} > \text{Hearts} > \text{Diamonds} > \text{Clubs}Spades>Hearts>Diamonds>Clubs).

    • Razz: Lowest ranking low card suit receives it (Clubs>Diamonds>Hearts>Spades\text{Clubs} > \text{Diamonds} > \text{Hearts} > \text{Spades}Clubs>Diamonds>Hearts>Spades).

    • High-Low: High hand receives it.

  • Rake Exemption Criteria: No rake is taken if a split hand proceeds with betting from only 2 players excluding blinds (rake is normally charged for split pots with 3 or more participants excluding blinds).

  • No Rabbit Hunting: It is strictly prohibited to look at unexposed board cards after a hand ends early.

  • Clock: Only players who participated in the respective hand can request a time count on an opponent.

  • Run It Twice:

    • Permitted if all involved players agree in an all-in situation.

    • Can only be conducted in a heads-up situation.

    • Minimum pot must be 500,000 KRW or more (100bb for 5-10 or higher).

4. Blinds, Button, and Straddle Regulations

  • Moving Button:

    • The dealer button advances 1 position clockwise each hand, moving sequentially without skipping empty seats.

    • If the seat after the button is vacant/absent, the hand is treated as a Dead SB, and only 2 Big Blinds (BB) are posted to proceed.

    • Skipping blind rotations is not allowed, and the Big Blind is always sequentially assigned to the next valid player.

  • New Seating and Return Position Restrictions:

    • New players cannot immediately join in the seat between the button and small blind (must wait until the button passes).

    • Cannot start fresh at the button position; must become the Big Blind or join by paying a 'Post'.

  • Live Blinds & Straddle:

    • All blinds are live and retain pre-flop raising rights.

    • Straddles are only permitted from the UTG position (immediately left of the Big Blind), limited to 2x the Big Blind (live), once per hand.

  • Missed Blind Return:

    • Players missing both SB and BB must pay the combined amount of both blinds to participate.

    • The amount exceeding the BB (the SB portion) goes into the pot as dead money. (However, SB posting is waived if returning via a straddle).

5. Seating and Table Movement

  • New Table Open: Determine button position with a high card, and seat players in order of the waiting list.

  • Seat Change:

    • If moving to a seat 2 or more positions further from the BB than the previous position, must pay a BB to enter or wait until the BB turn arrives.

    • Players in missed blind status must immediately pay SB+BB to enter or wait until their regular BB turn.

    • The same rules apply to both players when swapping seats by mutual agreement.

    • If multiple applicants want the same seat, priority is given to the player who joined the game earlier; if unclear, decided by card draw.

  • Table Change:

    • Can be requested once per hour.

    • Existing players have priority over waiting lists.

    • Must pay blinds to play immediately upon moving; if not paid, must wait until the BB turn.

    • Forced table balancing move: No need to pay blinds, can join for free after waiting until the button passes.

  • Table Breaking and Short-Handed (5 players or fewer):

    • Conduct a card draw for the number of moving players to grant priority for fairness.

    • If remaining seats are insufficient during table breaking, players are sequentially added to the top of the waitlist based on the drawn card order.

6. Penalties & Over-Buy-In Processing Standards

※ Standard Procedures for Discovering Exceeding Max Buy-In

  1. Basic Principles: If it is discovered during the game that a player bought in exceeding the max buy-in amount, past finished hand results will not be changed. Upon discovering an over-buy-in, check the current stack immediately and process according to the criteria below.

  2. Profited After Over-Buy-In

    • Example: Max buy-in 700k KRW / Actual buy-in 1,000k KRW (Current stack 1,500k KRW after 3 hands)

    • Since chips were won from other players while over-bought in, past hand outcomes and chip movements remain valid.

    • In this case:

      • Normal max buy-in: 700k KRW

      • Over-buy-in amount: 300k KRW

      • Current stack: 1,500k KRW

      • Valid stack recognized up to normal buy-in (700k KRW) + profit from over-buy-in (500k KRW) = Total 1,200k KRW.

      • The remaining 300k KRW is separated from the table stack and stored in the customer's bag or pocket.

  3. Incurred Losses After Over-Buy-In

    • Example: Max buy-in 700k KRW / Actual buy-in 1,000k KRW (Current stack 900k KRW after 3 hands)

    • If the player lost while over-bought in, the amount exceeding the 700k KRW max buy-in is separated from the current stack.

    • Examples:

      • Current stack 900k KRW →\rightarrow→ 700k KRW recognized (200k KRW stored in customer's bag/pocket)

      • Current stack 700k KRW →\rightarrow→ 700k KRW recognized

      • Current stack 500k KRW →\rightarrow→ 500k KRW recognized as is (can add 200k KRW additional buy-in)

    • Past hand outcomes and chip movements will not be changed.

  4. Precautions for Processing:

    • Report to the manager immediately upon discovering the over-buy-in.

    • Do not change past hand outcomes or chips.

    • Do not arbitrarily return or readjust the excess amount to other players.

    • Inform the player of the max buy-in amount after processing, and conduct subsequent buy-ins/re-buys based on the normal max buy-in.

    • All processing is based on the current stack at the time of discovery.

  • Exceptions: However, if the over-buy-in significantly affected game results or caused direct damage/disadvantages to other customers, it will be handled separately at the manager's discretion.

7. Banning Standards

  • 1-Day Ban

    • Minor disturbances inside the venue, drunken speech or behavior.

    • Failure to follow staff instructions (improved after warning).

    • Game delays, minor rule violations.

    • Purpose: Immediate restoration of order.

  • 1-Month Ban

    • Repeated disturbances, loud shouting, or profanity.

    • Speech and behavior causing harm to other customers.

    • Disruption of gameplay (protesting after an under-call, intentional delays, etc.).

    • Recurrent minor issues.

    • Purpose: Prevention of recurrence and raising awareness.

  • 6-Month Ban

    • Physical conflicts (including assault and attempted assault).

    • Attempted theft of chips/belongings, fraudulent activities like chip brokering.

    • Threatening staff/customers, incidents requiring external agency intervention.

    • Recurrence of same or similar actions after a 1-month ban.

    • Purpose: Blocking serious threats.

  • Permanent Ban

    • Criminal cases such as assault, threats, theft, fraud, etc.

    • Serious blow to the venue's brand and trust.

    • Repeated issues even after a 6-month ban.

    • Long-term threats to customer and staff safety.

    • Purpose: Final measure to protect venue safety and brand.

※ Please note that these penalty standards are based on the Seoul Walkerhill Paradise City Poker Room and may be applied differently at Incheon Paradise City.
